Rasad

Client portal development

A secure portal your clients log into for documents, invoices, approvals and project status. Built in Arabic and English for companies working across the Gulf.

Your clients should not have to email you for a status update

Most service businesses in the Gulf run client work across email threads, WhatsApp groups and shared drives. The information exists, but nobody can find it, and your team answers the same questions every week.

We build one portal per business: your brand, your data, your rules. Clients log in and see only what applies to them. Your team stops copying files into emails and starts working from a single record.

Rasad has delivered platforms for government entities and private companies since 2021, including a financial literacy platform that serves more than 4 million citizens.

Status questions

A client asks where their request stands. Your team checks four systems and replies by hand.

Document chase

Contracts, invoices and deliverables live in inboxes. Versions drift and nobody knows which file is final.

Payment follow-up

Invoices go out as PDFs, and finance reconciles them against bank transfers in a spreadsheet.

What we build

Six parts of a portal that earns its place

Every portal is scoped to your workflow. These are the pieces most clients start with.

Secure sign-in and roles

SSO, two-factor authentication and per-client permissions. Each contact sees only their account, projects and documents. Every action is written to an audit log.

Documents and deliverables

Versioned files with expiry dates on download links. Clients upload what you request, and you see who downloaded what and when.

Invoices and payments

Invoices, statements and payment status in one view. Connect your accounting system or a Gulf gateway such as HyperPay, Mada or Stripe.

Requests and approvals

A structured intake form, SLA timers and approval chains. Notifications go out by email and WhatsApp so nothing sits in an inbox.

Dashboards and reports

Live project status, milestones and the metrics each client cares about. Reports export to PDF or Excel, scoped to their own data.

Integrations

Your ERP, CRM, ticketing system or warehouse stays the source of truth. We connect it through REST, GraphQL, webhooks or a nightly sync.

Arabic and English in the same build

Most portals treat Arabic as a translation layer bolted on at the end. We design both directions from the first screen: RTL layout, Arabic typography, mixed-language data, and Hijri or Gregorian dates. One codebase, one admin panel, two languages your clients switch at any time.

  • Full RTL layout, not a mirrored afterthought
  • Arabic and English content managed side by side
  • SAR, AED, USD and EUR amounts formatted per locale
  • Hijri or Gregorian dates, set per client

Process

How a portal gets built

A focused portal usually ships in 8 to 12 weeks. Scope sets the date, and you see the plan before development starts.

  1. 01

    Access map

Week 1. We list who logs in, what each role sees, and which systems already hold the data you trust.

  2. 02

    Working prototype

Weeks 2 and 3. A clickable portal built on real data for two or three client scenarios. You test it before we write the backend.

  3. 03

    Build and integrate

Weeks 4 to 10. Authentication, data model, integrations, the bilingual interface and automated tests.

  4. 04

    Launch and handover

Deployment, monitoring, admin training and documentation. Support continues after go-live under an agreed retainer.

Fit

Who this is for

If your clients log in to check something, a portal costs less than another account manager.

Professional services firms

Legal, audit, consulting and engineering firms that exchange documents and approvals with clients every week.

Government vendors

Suppliers reporting to ministries who need a defensible record of submissions, approvals and changes.

SaaS and platforms

Companies that need a customer-facing layer on top of an existing product without rebuilding the core.

Agencies and managed services

Teams running dozens of client accounts who need one place for files, requests and reporting.

Security is part of the build, not a later phase

Portals hold contracts, invoices and personal data. We treat them as production systems from day one.

  • Role-based access control, scoped per client and per project
  • Audit logging on sign-in, downloads, approvals and data changes
  • Encryption in transit and at rest, with secrets kept out of the codebase
  • Hosting in Saudi Arabia, the UAE or the EU, chosen per client
  • PDPL and GDPR-aware handling, including retention and deletion rules
  • Option to run a third-party penetration test before launch

Questions buyers ask us

How long does a client portal take to build?

A focused portal usually takes 8 to 12 weeks from kickoff to launch. Portals with several integrations or long approval chains take longer. You get a dated plan after the access map, before development starts.

Can the portal work in Arabic and English?

Yes. Both languages live in the same codebase, with a full RTL layout, Arabic typography and locale-aware dates and currency. Clients switch language without losing their place.

Can it connect to our ERP or CRM?

If the system has an API, we can connect it. For older systems we use scheduled syncs or a secure database link. The portal reads from your system of record, so your team does not maintain two copies of the same data.

Do you work with companies outside Saudi Arabia?

Yes. We work with clients in Europe, the US and the GCC, and we deliver in English or Arabic.

How much does a client portal cost?

Cost depends on the number of roles, integrations and workflows. We quote a fixed scope after the access map, so you have a number before development starts. Hosting and support are quoted separately.

Can we start with one module?

Yes. Many clients start with documents and approvals, then add billing and reporting once the portal is part of daily work. The data model is designed for the later phases from the start.

Tell us who logs in, and we will map the portal

Send us the client types, the documents they need and the systems you already run. We will come back with a scope, a dated plan and a fixed price.

30 minutes, no obligation. We will tell you if a portal is the wrong tool for the job.
